Synod Newsletter #1

Dear members of Synod:

We are pleased to introduce our first Synod Newsletter.

For the second year in a row, the Synod of the Diocese of Toronto will convene virtually from Nov. 17 to 19, 2022. To help members, we hope to release a series of newsletters to provide information and content regarding Pre-Synod and Synod.

These newsletters aim to:

communicate with Synod members
provide an opportunity for Synod members to ask questions
provide information about “what to expect”, especially around the virtual format and the voting system

We hope you find the newsletters helpful. Keep an eye out for the next issue.

SAVE THE DATES:

The Rt. Rev. Andrew Asbil, Bishop of Toronto, has called all Synod members in the Diocese of Toronto to assemble virtually for Synod from Thu., Nov. 17 to Sat., Nov. 19, 2022.

October 15, 2022

We will hold a Pre-Synod meeting to prepare for the Synod. The meeting will be content-rich to ease some of the pressure from Synod’s Agenda.

November 17-19, 2022

We will share more information about Synod as it becomes available.

Two-Question Survey

We are conducting a two-question survey of Synod Members. The survey aims to get a sense of your will for planning purposes around General Synod and Synod Council elections. Tell us what you think!
