Are you eating plenty of fruits, vegetables and whole grains? Whole foods are the most nutrient dense foods, this means that you get the most nutrients possible with the least amount of calories! This also means that you can eat more of these foods and feel satiated sooner, as all your body's nutrient needs will be more readily met. Ergonomics at Work and Elsewhere
Many of us spend a great deal of time at our desks and sitting. Besides staying active with exercise outside of the office, it's important that we try and maintain an ergonomic work station while taking breaks and stretching. Healthy Recipes

W e'd love your participation IN THE KITCHEN. Do you have some healthy recipes that you'd like to share? If so, please email melinda@synodpacific.org and I'll post your recipe in one of my future wellness e-newsletters. Here is a couple delicious sounding recipes: Slow Cooker Tortilla Soup and Artichoke and Ripe-Olive Tuna Salad (try substituting all or part of mayonnaise with plain greek yogurt). Bon appetit!

For those making any Open Enrollment changes this year for the new plan year beginning November 1st, please remember to submit your Universal Enrollment Form by this Wednesday, October 21st. If you are happy with your current plans and coverage levels, you don't need to do anything.
