The Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology A is soliciting research articles for a Special Topic Collection on Synthesis and Processing of 2D Materials.
This Special Topic Collection features articles dedicated to the synthesis, processing, and integration of two-dimensional (2D) materials, including both elemental and compound layered materials. Contributions addressing the challenges of large-area uniformity, defect control, and compatibility with semiconductor platforms are particularly welcome.
Topics covered include but are not limited to:
- Atomic layer deposition (ALD) and chemical vapor deposition (CVD) of 2D materials
- Plasma-assisted or laser-based synthesis and patterning
- Epitaxial growth and van der Waals heterostructure synthesis
- Transfer techniques and interface engineering
- Doping and functionalization of 2D materials
- Integration of 2D materials with silicon and other platforms
- Characterization techniques for growth and interface quality
- Device applications (e.g., electronics, optoelectronics, sensors)
Authors are encouraged to use the JVST A article template. During submission, you will have an opportunity to tell us that your paper is a part of the Special Topic Collection by choosing the Special Topic or Conference Collection on “Synthesis and Processing of 2D Materials.”
