Why you should sign a waste delivery contract with Synthica
Synthica is an organic waste to energy business that has been developed to work with various businesses – grocery stores, distributions centers, food service companies, food processing plants, breweries, alcohol distributors etc. – to take their organic waste material, and convert them into green renewable natural gas. Currently, Synthica has an operating facility in St. Bernard, Ohio, and has broken ground for new facilities in San Antonio, Texas and Rome, Georgia.
Backed by Goldman Sachs, Synthica uses a proprietary pricing model on every individual feedstock to determine the appropriate tip fee to be charged to each customer, rather than simply pricing to frequency of material pick up. Synthica’s sustainable solution uses its anaerobic digestion facility to produce carbon negative renewable natural gas (RNG), creating less CO2 emissions in the atmosphere compared to landfills.
From a customer’s perspective, there are two major benefits from signing a waste delivery contract with Synthica.
- You pay a fixed, indexed, feedstock disposal fee for supplying your waste to Synthica over the entire life of your waste disposal contract. Landfill tip fees and composting charges for businesses can be volatile, leading to cost-management/control issues. Synthica’s approach allows customers to predictably forecast their waste disposal costs for future years over the life of your contract.
- Partnering with Synthica to produce carbon negative RNG allows you to reduce Scope 3 emissions, which are indirect emissions throughout a company’s value chain. Additionally, since Synthica locates its facilities close to urban areas where businesses reside, transportation time is cut down, reducing pollutive diesel consumption and associated carbon emissions.
