TC-2 research aims to investigate an in-time safety management concept while developing, testing, and evaluating hazard mitigation capabilities for future highly automated UAS and air taxi flight operations. This includes capabilities that monitor, assess, and mitigate known and unknown hazards in more predictive and timely ways. 



TC-4 research focuses on developing assurance and certification techniques for machine-learning-enabled aerospace systems. It led to a prototype certification process recommended by NASA to the FAA. Key areas include verification, validation, explainability, safety cases, automated proofs, and statistical testing, contributing to AI standards in aviation.
