Tully & Holland, Inc. is pleased to announce that its client, Imaginova Corporation, sold its subsidiary, Optronic Technologies, Inc., dba Orion Telescopes and Binoculars, to Optronic Holding Corp., a corporation newly formed by Orion's management team. Orion, based in Watsonville, California, is a leading brand and the largest ecommerce company in the telescope market. Founded over 40 years ago, the Company sells its quality telescopes and binoculars, on-line, in its flagship store, through Amazon, and to independent dealers in North America and Europe. The Company owns the iconic URL's,
Management has plans to continue the international, product line and ecommerce growth it pursued when owned by Imaginova.
Through this transaction and our dialogue with various parties, Tully & Holland has gained deep insight into the hobbyist industry and demand dynamics for both prospective buyers and sellers.
