Boston, MA, April 15, 2109 - Tully & Holland, Inc. is pleased to announce that our client, Tourtellot & Co. Inc., was acquired by Encore Consumer Capital, a San Francisco-based private equity firm focused on the consumer sector
. Tourtellot, a leading independent distributor of specialty fresh produce in the Northeast United States, has evolved over the last six decades to operate at the fore of the healthy-living, healthy-eating space.
Founded in the late 1800's and acquired by the Sigal family in 1956, Tourtellot is based in Warwick, RI, distributing to the densely populated New England markets. A steady introduction of new supply sources and innovative products, ranging from international to local farm-to-table has contributed to Tourtellot's success in the burgeoning fresh food and agri-business space.
