The USEPA has proposed primary drinking water standards for six per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). PFAS are commonly referred to as forever chemicals as they don’t readily degrade in the environment and have been linked to a broad range of health issues. The National Primary Drinking Water Regulation (NPDWR) would establish legally enforceable levels, Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs), for these six PFAS. MORE HERE

The Borough of Bradley Beach entered a shared service agreement with Avon-by-the-Sea to repair an outflow pipe located at the town line. The Sylvan Lake outfall pipe, which runs directly under Ocean Avenue and the beach, is the stormwater drain from Sylvan Lake and allows stormwater to flow out into the ocean. It was presumed that a breach in the pipe attributed to a collection of sinkholes that formed along the beach. T&M is providing Municipal and Environmental services for this important project. T&M Foundation Awards $10k Scholarship

In partnership with the ACEC-NJ Foundation, the T&M Associates Foundation awarded a $10,000 scholarship, the largest amount ACEC administers, to Alyssa Ciano. Don Di Zuzio, a member of the Foundation's STEM Education committee, presented the check to Alyssa at the ACEC-NJ Annual Engineering Excellence Awards banquet. Alyssa is a junior at NJIT working toward a Civil Engineering degree. She maintained a 3.63 GPA while working as a resident assistant, delivering meals to the homeless, and playing with the Women’s Basketball League. MORE HERE
