Many projects have been proposed but were discarded due to most of the site lying along the FEMA floodplain and the stringent floodplain requirements. T&M reassessed the FEMA models, with improvements and additional topographic detail, resulting in the redevelopment becoming viable. Chief People Officer, Lynn Spence, SPHR, joined a panel of experts to urge employers to overhaul their approach to work and hiring as employers should not expect the hiring shortage to end soon. Employees will likely have leverage for quite some time. The panelists suggest that employers will have to work harder and adopt tactics that might have seemed unthinkable before the pandemic.
