Weathering the Infrastructure Storm
Storms can cause significant damage to public infrastructure, push electrical grids past their limits, and test building and construction codes to their breaking points. T&M Planning Group Manager Named to Prestigious Planning College of Fellows
T&M is honored to announce that Stan Slachetka, PP, AICP, Group Manager in the Planning Practice, has achieved the planning profession’s highest honor by being named to the prestigious American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) College of Fellows for his outstanding achievements in urban planning.

He will be formally inducted into the College of Fellows at an induction ceremony at the National Planning Conference in San Diego in May.

A study being conducted by the CDC and Rutgers University will help to identify health effects that may result from exposure to PFNA in drinking water. Paulsboro, NJ is leading the country, along with seven other sites, in assisting with this effort. Perfluorononanoic acid (PFNA) was present in groundwater used as a drinking water source for Paulsboro until it was detected in 2013 and subsequently removed by treatment. This research will better enable regulators to set appropriate limits for how much of this chemical can be present in drinking water. MORE HERE
Project update: T&M is providing construction administration and inspection services for the reconstruction of Monmouth County Bridge R-3 between the Boroughs of Keyport and Union Beach. The project is progressing, with the beams being laid and installed last month. T&M’s extensive experience in designing and inspecting bridges for Monmouth County has been key in developing a timely and cost-effective solution for the CA&I of this bridge reconstruction. The New Jersey Alliance for Action honored T&M Associates and other project partners working on the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) Maple Hall Residence project at the 11th Annual New Jersey’s Leading Capital Construction Project Awards Ceremony. As part of the design-build team, T&M is providing boundary and topographic survey, base mapping, site/civil engineering, permitting, and asbestos identification services for this mixed-use student housing project in Newark, NJ.
