Hope-mongering is a T1D parent and caregiver support program of Gales Creek Camp Foundation for Children with Diabetes.
Each month we recruit an array of key voices to host a conversation: parents, young adults who grew up with T1D, health coaches, dietitians, T1D doctors and nurses, and of course the GCC summer camp crew.
It's a magic formula for conversation on raising a young person with T1D. We'd love for you to join us and add your voice, or just sit back and listen. Feel free to bring topics or questions.
This month we're talking about transitioning your T1D toward independence. It's a tricky phase where you begin to shift diabetes care responsibilities to your T1D while continuing to provide support. Hear from our educators on theories and approaches to independence, and listen as our doctors apply that to raising a kiddo with T1D.
These sessions are virtual, and you can join us online of via video or phone. Sign up for access information.
