TABC Disaster Assistance
To: TABC Licensees/Permittees Impacted by Severe Weather on October 20

TABC stands ready to help its license and permit holders impacted by severe weather that occurred across Texas on the evening of Sunday, October 20, 2019.

TABC licensees and permittees located in a county covered by Governor Abbott’s October 21, 2019, disaster declaration (Cass, Cameron, Collin, Dallas, Ellis, Erath, Hunt, Kaufman, Lamar, Panola, Rains, Rockwall, Rusk, Tarrant, Van Zandt and Wood counties) may be eligible for certain regulatory relief.

Visit TABC’s disaster assistance webpage https://www.tabc.texas.gov/disaster to learn how to address common issues that may arise due to a disaster event.

For additional assistance and information, affected businesses may identify and contact their local TABC Regional office or contact TABC's Austin headquarters at (512) 206-3333.
**Note for Retailers, Distributors, & Wholesalers Regarding Credit Law Issues**

As a result of the storms, TABC recognizes that many retailers may not be able to make timely payments to their distributor(s)/wholesaler(s), which affects the reliability of credit law reports. Additionally, this may prevent distributors/wholesalers from timely filing their credit law reports.

To accommodate these potential problems, TABC urges distributors/wholesalers in the declared disaster area to not solely rely on Delinquent Lists #1784 & #1785. Additionally, TABC will not penalize distributors/wholesalers in the declared disaster area for failing to timely file their credit law reports for delivery periods October 1-15 and October 16-31.

TABC also suggests that distributors/wholesalers exercise discretion in deciding whether to extend credit or COD terms for liquor purchases during this period. Normal reporting requirements and expectations will resume with the November 1-15 delivery period and Delinquent List #1786.
