Transmission Access Charges distortion in California: There is a solution
The Clean Coalition continues leading the effort to ensure that California’s ratepayers aren’t stuck with billions of dollars in unnecessary electric transmission spending. We're working to pass SB 692, which will create a path to the most viable solution for implementing our  widely supported  reform strategies.
Advanced energy programs and strategies in the North Bay Community Resilience Initiative
Rachel Kuykendall of Sonoma Clean Power and John Sarter of Microgrid Development Group presented in this webinar o n the Advanced Energy Rebuild program and other efforts that will help the North Ba y in California build back right after last year's devastating fires. Representatives from the Clean Coalition and Pacific Gas & Electric were also on hand to share their insights.
Streamlining the interconnection of advanced energy solutions to the grid
The interconnection process has been streamlined for net metered (NEM) solar in California. But identically sized and sited commercial-scale solar and energy storage projects still face significant challenges in connecting to the grid. The fifth webinar in the Peninsula Advanced Energy Community (PAEC) Initiative series detailed how this is being fixed.
Partnering with NREL and the City of San Diego to drive local solar development efforts
This spring, the Clean Coalition partnered with the City of San Diego to participate in the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's Solar Energy Innovation Network. To help San Diego achieve its ambitious clean energy goals, the Clean Coalition will conduct a Solar Siting Survey and design a CLEAN Program for the City.
