Daniel Coberly Named as Transatlantic Council President
On 27 January 2024, Transatlantic Council welcomed Daniel Coberly as the new Council President.
Daniel Coberly is an author, journalist, historian, and noted civil servant from the United States. He has a distinguished Scouting and professional resume, including being a Sixty Year Scout Veteran (2022); recipient of the Silver Buffalo Award (2016), the Distinguished Conservation Service Award (2017) the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award (1997), the Silver Antelope Award (1995), the Silver Beaver Award (1985), the Order of the Arrow Founder’s (1985) and Centurion Awards (2015), the NESA Distinguished Service Award (1988), NESA Silver Wreath (1986) plus many others. His international service as youth/adult in Central America, North America, Europe, Asia, within ten different BSA Councils*/four Regions. ** Service as a unit leader, commissioner, Scoutmaster (12+ yrs.), acting Council President. BSA International Ambassador (Emeritus), Council International Representative/Committees (three councils), National Representative (two Councils), member of National Committees (39+ yrs).
