MEET THE BOARD: LAURA SINGLER
How long have you been playing tennis, and what got you started?
My whole family plays and introduced me to it, I’m told at age 3.

What is your favorite league to play in and why?
I like them all, but perhaps mixed because it shakes up your play and typically allows you more experience with harder serves and hits in general which challenges me and helps me grow as a tennis player.

What do you enjoy/look forward to about volunteering for TACK?
I love tennis, but found it challenging to figure out how/where/with whom to play after high school/college. That seems to be a common situation for many and I’m interested in helping people learn about how they can stay involved or get back into tennis at all stages of their lives.

If you could attend one of the four grand slams, which would you choose, and why?
Probably Wimbledon. I’ve been to the little town of Wimbledon, but not while the tennis championship was in session, which was such a tease - I’d love to go back and see the town with it all happening!

If you could be any piece of household furniture, what would you be and why?
What a strange & interesting question, lol. Maybe a back porch swing because it’s relaxing, out in nature, a great place to have a drink and socialize with friends.
"Don't just watch tennis, experience it!"
