How long have you been playing tennis, and what got you started?
I started playing in high school. I grew up in a very small town and activities were limited. When our high school started a girls’ tennis team, I was one of the first to sign up. Many of us had not played before, so we were learning and competing at the same time.
What is your favorite league to play in and why?
My favorite is adult league doubles. I like the pace of doubles and enjoy playing with a partner.
What do you enjoy/look forward to about volunteering for TACK?
I am very new to TACK, so I look forward to learning all that I can. I really enjoy tennis and the tennis community and want to do what I can to help support and promote tennis in our area.
If you could attend one of the four grand slams, which would you choose, and why?
I would choose Wimbledon because of the history and tradition.
If you could be any piece of household furniture, what would you be and why?
I would pick my family’s kitchen/dining room table. There are a lot of memories there of my mother greeting friends and family alike with something to eat and drink. All of our holiday gatherings with my mother’s amazing home cooking were around that table. Our family also used that table to play card games and board games for hours and hours. It is where my family always came together and it represents the joys of family to me.
