Tri-Level "Tournament" Schedule Is In the Wild!
Log into TennisLink and find your team to see your schedule. Since this league is played in a tournament format with limited court time available (and Session 1 league play resumes Monday, March 2), you can assume this schedule is fixed. (
Contact Local League Coordinator Karen Diggs with major problems, but options are limited.)
Although the team formation deadline has passed,
new players can register right up through the last day of Tri-Level play. If your team has problems covering a match, captains can still recruit!
Let us help!
A reminder -- to qualify for the State Championship Oct. 16-18,
you need play only one match this weekend!

It's a Tri-Level Party!
Saturday, Feb. 29, 5:30 PM-??
All
Tri-Level participants and their partners are invited. Yes, this is free dinner! (OK, well, sorta, see below.) This year we're featuring a taco bar courtesy of local Mexican favorite
El Cid. There will be matches going on, so grab a taco and watch some great tennis!

A Contest! Once again, TACK is sponsoring a contest -- bring your favorite dessert to share. Prize given for the best one! (Bring enough to share -- there will be a lot of us!)

This year, once again,
Children of Vietnam's Rhonda Grissom will have a booth Saturday, Feb. 29, offering
raffle opportunities and seeking donations. Last year, Karen Diggs and Rhonda rode over 100 miles in central Vietnam to raise money and awareness for this wonderful organization providing programs and services for disadvantaged children and families there. Spread the word!

Captain's Corner
Here are some opportunities coming after our Session 2 league play ends in May:
- 60+/70+ Invitational (Louisville, May 15-17). This "open" tournament brings a variety of team options for the "experienced" among us.
- Summer Singles (June-July): All ages and ratings supported, singles only, no impact on USTA Rating data.
- Mixed (June-July): Doubles pairing guys and gals. There's some flexibility in ratings, since the teams are rated by sum (7.0 Mixed can field 3.5+3.5 or 3.0+4.0, e.g.).
- Combo (Aug.-Sept.): Doubles-only, but with each court fielding players of different ratings -- 3.5 + 4.0, e.g.
- Fall League (Oct.-Dec.): All ratings and ages can play, but nothing counts towards your USTA ratings -- play up, have fun!
