President Trump Should Swiftly Be Acquitted
President Trump’s defense team laid out their case to acquit President Trump.
This week, President Trump’s defense team clearly laid out their case for President Trump’s acquittal. As the defense team stated throughout the week, policy disagreements do not merit grounds for impeachment. The president’s legal team and Republicans have made it overwhelmingly clear there is no case for impeachment. Bottom line - this is the weakest case for impeachment in American history and President Trump should be acquitted.
Months into this impeachment sham, the facts remain the same. The July 25th call transcript – released to the public – shows no evidence of pressure, no quid pro quo. Both President Zelensky and President Trump have said there was no pressure on the call. Zelensky did not know aid was withheld at the time of the July 25 call. Ukraine received aid with no conditions. A reminder President Trump is the only President who has given lethal aid to Ukraine – not once, but three times. The Obama Administration denied lethal aid to Ukraine. This entire sham is purely politics by the Democrats to remove President Trump from office.
