Making the Case Through Video Storytelling

Has your organization ever considered making a video to tell it's story? Videos provide a unique perspective and serve as an expression of why donors care. Through an alum’s success story, a patient’s recovery journey, or a volunteer’s impact, videos illuminate why your organization is the one that your audience should support.

Why Planned Giving Is More Important to Healthcare Organizations Than Ever Before

With razor thin margins and changing reimbursement rates, hospitals and their health systems are increasingly turning to philanthropy to modernize and build facilities, fund new programs, and recruit and retain talented medical staff. In this fast-paced conversation (see link below), Jay Angeletti and Joe Tumolo of Gift Planning Development, LLC, discuss how the world of healthcare fundraising development has changed in recent years.

5 Steps to Growing an Effective Planned Giving Program

With competition for philanthropic dollars greater than ever before, fundraisers are getting creative with strategies to identify and pursue impactful gifts. And while new and innovative approaches are always needed, the answer to larger, more impactful gifts may be in your donor database already: planned gift prospects. Discover 5 steps we suggest to grow your planned giving program.

Sustaining Faith-Based Organizations: The Need and Opportunity

"Recognize you are making a difference, even when it is challenging."  Longtime fundraiser, Don Stahl, takes a look at faith-based organizations to explore the unique challenges and opportunities they face. As the largest category of philanthropic dollars received, the sheer number of areas of services this type of mission-based encompasses represents opportunities for growth and resurgence.

Client Highlight: Sharp HealthCare
Sharp HealthCare is San Diego's leading healthcare provider, with four acute-care hospitals, three specialty hospitals, three affiliated medical groups and a full spectrum of additional facilities and services as well as more than 2,700 affiliated physicians and 18,000 employees. TAG began a partnership with Sharp HealthCare Foundation this year to provide strategic direction and planning for what will become the largest philanthropic initiative in the health system's history. These plans come on the heels of Sharp's successful campaign, INSPIRE: The Sharp HealthCare Campaign for Excellence, which raised more than $100 million across nearly two dozen initiatives.
Sharp HealthCare Foundation is led by Bill Littlejohn, Senior Vice President of Sharp HealthCare and Chief Executive Officer of Sharp HealthCare Foundation. Past chair of the Association of Healthcare Professionals (AHP), recipient of the 2017 Si Seymour Award (AHP's highest recognition for professional development), and recipient of the 2018 AFP San Diego Outstanding Development Professional award, Bill is among the nation's leading health care philanthropy professionals. It is an honor and a pleasure to work alongside such an accomplished and adept fundraising professional, as well as the entire Foundation team, to prepare for this exciting initiative.
