Dress Code Look Book Guidelines


Dress code will be strictly enforced.


BALLET | POINTE | CONTEMPORARY BALLET


  • Ladies: any colored leotard | black capri tights worn outside of leotards
  • Gentlemen: white or black fitted T-shirt, tucked in | black tights or leggings | dance belt 






CONTEMPORARY | JAZZ | MODERN | TECHNIQUE & PROGRESSIONS | LEAPS & TURNS | BALLROOM


  • Ladies: any color leotard | black capri tights worn outside of leotard
  • Gentlemen: white or black T-shirt, tucked in | black tights, leggings or shorts | dance belt 

PERFORMANCE SKILLS & DRILLS | ACRO


  • Ladies & Gentlemen: fitted leotard or tank | leggings or fitted shorts

HIP HOP


  • ALL: Comfortable Bottoms (i.e. Sweatpants, leggings, workout shorts), Any top
  • No dresses, skirts or jeans permitted 

FOOT WEAR


BALLET & CONTEMPORARY BALLET

Ladies - pink or flesh toned canvas ballet slippers

Gentlemen - black or flesh toned ballet slippers


CONTEMPORARY | JAZZ | TECHNIQUE & PROGRESSIONS

Black Bloch socks with traction or tan canvas turners


MODERN

Barefoot

Non-marking sneaker

Sneakers with black soles



BALLROOM

Ladies:

Open toe Flesh-Toned Ballroom shoes

Beginners: 1.5" - 2.5" heel

Advanced: 2"-3" heel


Men: 

Black ballroom shoes

HAIR


Ladies & Gentlemen: Hair must be pulled back & away from your face. Tight, slicked back ponytails are required for long hair styles. 


Ballet (Ladies only): hair must be neatly pulled back in a ballet bun using bobby pins or thin headband.

IN ADDITION

No Jewelry allowed, except small, non-dangling earrings smaller than a half a dime. No bracelets or watches are allowed to be worn during class.


All attire must be clean & no torn or rippedHoles & runs are not acceptable.


Good hygiene & grooming are of the utmost importance. Deodorant is a ‘must-have’ in your dance bag. Proper washing of dance attire and foot attire is required.



 Nails must be kept at appropriate length to where a dancer can not break a nail or scratch someone. For performances, nails must be trimmed down and nail polish is prohibited.
