A Word from The Art Project, Houston
The past few months have been exciting here at TAPH. There have been paintings sold, galleries visited, connections made, understanding given and hearts healed. It's been incredible to see the difference that art can do in an individuals life! We at TAPH want to thank you for your continued support and belief in this project. Without your help, we wouldn't be able to do all that we do. Through your help, WE are making a difference! |

TAPH Celebrates!

We celebrate a great weekend of sharing our story, art, note cards and "Believe" t-shirts of TAPH at the 40th Annual Art Show of St. Francis Episcopal Church. TAPH was among more than 20 artists exhibiting and selling at the annual event February 10, 11 and 12.
We celebrate the sell of art created by TAPH student artist, Brandon, and the generous support offered by those who attended the weekend event.
Thank you to the TAPH student artists and volunteers who helped make the TAPH exhibit a hit! A special thanks to the St. Francis Episcopal Church Art Show team for the invitation.

TAPH February Art Immersion Experience

TAPH art immersion experience for the month of February was to the Texas Southern University Art Museum for the "Get on Board" exhibition. This exhibit was inspired by the Freedom Riders, groups college students from TSU and California who took a stand against segregation at the dawn of the Civil Rights Movement.

We were warmly welcomed by Dr. Alvia Wardlaw, director and curator of the University Museum. It was a moving exhibit that provoked thoughts for some while bringing back memories for others.

After viewing the exhibit, we were invited to view students at work in the classroom. Viewing the student work and interacting with the staff of the art department was inspiring to our students. We appreciate the hospitality and support of Dr. Wardlaw and other members of the TSU art community.
We are excited about upcoming visits to the university. |
