HB 2617, effective January 1, 2022, increases the homestead exemption amount from $150,000 to $250,000 and recorded money judgments become a lien against the debtor’s primary residence. Call your title company immediately when you see any judgements or liens in the preliminary title report. Closing could be delayed.

NAR's REALTORS® Legislative Meetings have been going on this week in the Washington DC area. Tucson had a strong presence. They went to hear updates about special issues forums, attend committee meetings, participate in legislative activities and attend the industry trade show.

During NAR's REALTORS® Legislative Meetings was the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and RPAC Awards Ceremony. The $25,000 linductees included Kim Clifton, Cathy Erchull, Ginny Huffman, Pam Ruggeroli and James J. Tsighis. Congratulations all!
