The annual Taylor “No Frills” Fundraiser is happening now!

We are inching our way closer to our $30,000 GOAL;

please show your support for Taylor by donating today.

This campaign is our major fundraising event of the year and is designed to keep things simple for busy families. You will not be asked to buy or sell anything.

We aim for 100% participation from Taylor families.

No amount is too small!

100% of your donation is tax-deductible and supports programs

for all the children, such as STEAM programs, field trips, Art in the Classroom and

more.

For the 2023-2024 school year, in addition to the standard programming

we supplement, we are focusing these funds on:

new and durable recess equipment, flexible seating for our pod classrooms, and cosmetic and acoustic updates to the cafeteria.

Please check if your employer offers donation matching and double your donation!

If we meet or exceed our goal of raising $30,000, we will be having

a school wide ice cream social for Taylor students!!

To make a donation, we are offering three convenient options:

1. Click or Scan the QR Code below.

2. Online via Taylor PTA Website

3. Write a check! Checks can be made payable to Taylor PTA. Please mail checks to Taylor PTA No Frills @ 2600 N. Stuart Street Arlington, VA 22207.

Tigers Helping Tigers and Foster Care Giving

This holiday season, we hope you'll consider honoring the tradition of supporting two important causes:

Foster Care Giving: gift cards will be given to children in foster care in Arlington. The gift cards will be given to children at a holiday party hosted by Arlington County's Child & Family Services Division.

Tigers Helping Tigers: support fellow Taylor families in need. Our school social worker will deliver gift cards to the appropriate families with a holiday greeting.

For both causes, our goal is to collect gift cards from local grocery stores and retailers for $20 to $50. The most requested retailer gift cards are: Safeway, Giant, Harris Teeter, Target, Amazon, Walmart, Marshalls, Old Navy, TJMaxx, Sephora, H&M, DSW and Chick Fila.

If you would like to support this important cause, we ask that you sign up below

Kidsgiving Update

KidsGiving will host our very own Giving Tuesday event at Taylor on November 28. This very popular event gives kids an opportunity to use their own money to support a local nonprofit. Any student who gives $1 or more will receive a thank you letter from the organization. Parents are also welcome to match donations too! Our donation station will be open before school from 8-9 am and after school from 3:30-5:30 pm by the front doors and students can support one or more of the following Arlington-based nonprofits: AFACArlington Free ClinicPathForwardEcoAction Arlington, Aspire!, and AWLA. Donation forms went home in Friday folders or you can print a donation form and help your child fill out the form and bring it in with their donations on Nov. 28.

On Saturday, December 2 from 10m-12pm, join us for the KidsGiving Fair at Arlington Science Focus School (1501 N Lincoln St) to meet, support and learn about the work of our 11 wonderful Arlington nonprofit partners. This is a free, family-friendly event with hands-on activities, kid raffle prizes and entertainment, and for every donation, shoppers will receive a KidsGiving holiday card for kids to decorate and give on behalf of a loved one.

SCA Toy Collection

Taylor’s SCA is partnering with a Washington-Liberty High School Club (and former Taylor students) to collect NEW toy/game/book donations for The Jared Box Project. The Jared Box Project puts together boxes filled with fun activities, toys, games, and books which are given to young patients in emergency rooms, hospital rooms, surgical centers, and clinics. All toys must be new and must be small enough to fit into a shoe box. Washington-Liberty Jared Box Project students will be putting together the boxes and delivering them to INOVA Children’s Hospital in Falls Church. They have put together a wish list of items that will fit in the shoe boxes: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/AHOEJMUTXIL?ref_=wl_share

Please bring any donations to the Toy Drive box in the main lobby at Taylor. We will continue to collect donations until December 15th.

Calling all Student Artists - Explore the Arts, and Express Yourself!

Taylor is proud to be participating in the National PTA Reflections program this year and supports our school’s long-standing commitment to arts education. The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life. Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.

This year’s theme is I am Hopeful Because
