News from the TBA
A Message from Brian K. Will, TBA President
Its early Thanksgiving morning as I write what is now officially my last message as president of TBA. I described last month all the accomplishments we as an association enjoyed this year thanks to the countless and tireless efforts of so many dedicated volunteers despite the sometimes overwhelming conditions and restrictions. If you will indulge me a moment, in honor of the holiday, I would like to mention in no particular order some of the things I am thankful for regarding our association.
I am thankful for the opportunity you afforded me to serve as your president this year.
I am thankful for the friendships and relationships forged through 33 years of membership in the TBA.
I am thankful for the personal growth and professional development and knowledge I gained through participation in the TBA. You all have made me a better man and a better builder.
I am thankful for the countless volunteers, board members, committee chairs and committee members and senior officers who have invested so much time and energy to help us thrive as an association.
I am thankful for our staff who have been so professional and personally invested in our mission and do more than “just their jobs” without enough recognition.
I am thankful for all the sponsors who invested hard earned revenue whether a little or a lot to support our events and our mission. I pray that your return is tenfold.
I am thankful for each and every member that joined and renewed because you realized the benefit and understood that there is strength in numbers.
I am grateful that construction was deemed essential and that our industry has remained strong and vibrant, leading an economic recovery.
I am thankful for every one who participated in our events: Golf, Parade of Homes, Fishing, HHHH and Skeet.
I am thankful for the the incoming board of directors and senior officers. Some of the finest men and women I know. Their dedication to innovate and move the association forward in new and exciting ways is amazing.
I am thankful for the younger members stepping up to take leadership positions.
I am thankful for the freedom we have enjoyed as a nation paid for with the blood of so many men and women. Perhaps we can pass it on.
Thank you again for the privilege of serving you this year.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations. Psalms 100:4-5.
Sincerely,
Brian K. Will, as TBA President
