Challah Bake
11:30 a.m.
Don't miss this fun Sunday program for all ages! We provide the ingredients for you to make a delicious challah. Like chocolate chips or raisins? We have those too! Pizza lunch is provided. This interactive, family friendly program is sponsored by our Early Learning Center. A $10 per family donation is suggested. In order to be sure we have enough ingredients for everyone your RSVP is required .
Poetry Slam!
6:00 p.m.
The TBA Arts Troupe presents TBA's first Poetry Slam. Come to experience the art of spoken word poetry and judge as award winning poets compete for our votes!

The evening will include a Poetry Slam demonstration with prior Slam winners, an interactive poetry project, and exposure to an art form as relevant today as it was in biblical times.

Join us for wine, cheese, dinner and poetry! No poetry writing skills or experience necessary. Bring your neighbors, your friends and your kids (age 12 and up). Sunday, January 26 from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m..  Click here to RSVP .

K - Gr. 5
Shabbat Service
Join us for a service featuring our Gr. 4 & 5 students. We hope all of our K-5 families will attend. Before the service, beginning at 5:45 p.m., you are invited to enjoy pizza and salad. The service begins at 6:15 p.m. and babysitting is available for ages 2-5 (not yet in K). At 7:00 p.m. we will end with a dessert oneg and light dinner/snacks. Please click here to RSVP .

Sr. BAYGL Improv
All 8-12 graders are invited to join Sr. BAYGL on January 25 from 4:30 pm - 8:30 p.m. for a fun night of improv! We will be taking a bus to Improv Boston , Pick up and drop off will be at TBA. Please click here to RSVP
Torah Class
Whether you have an extensive Jewish education, or if you've never opened a bible before to read - you are all equally welcome and will be equally comfortable. Begins at 10:00 a.m.

Cook at TBA for TSS
TBA is committed to helping victims of domestic violence through providing monthly meals for The Second Step. For this month's meal we will join in the TBA kitchen at 2:00 p.m. Open to all ages. Email Suzy Williard Rosenthal if you would like to participate .
Jr. BAYGL Movie Night
Get ready to have some fun with your Jr. BAYGL friends at movie night. We will Join Jr BAYGL (grades 6 & 7) for movie night Sunday, January 26 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the BAYGL room. We will be watching  Spy Kids , dinner and popcorn will be served.  Click here to RSVP .

Simchat Shabbat Service & Dinner, February 7
Enjoy a delicious Shabbat dinner immediately following the 6:00 p.m. Simchat Shabbat Service. This service is geared toward preschool through Grade 2 children and their families. After-dinner entertainment for the children is provided. Click here to RSVP for dinner .

Kara-Oneg, February 7
What could be better than Shabbat services followed by a karaoke sing along? Join us at 7:30 p.m. for services and stick around for an oneg featuring delicious desserts and karaoke. This is a singalong of popular music from all decades – we won’t ask you to do a solo! Please click here to let us know if you plan to attend (free of charge) and if you have any song requests! All ages welcome. 

Labriyut: To Your Health with Susan Altman, February 9
Temple member Susan Altman will present at at our third Labriyut session beginning at 11:15 a.m. Susan received her training in Health Counseling at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and studied at The Institute for the Psychology of Eating where she learned more about the impact of our state of mind on our food choices. She will speak about diet culture and intuitive eating. Come and learn about food cravings, food choices and why food is not something to be feared!

Women's Kallah, February 29
The theme of this year's Women's Kallah is A Leap of Strength: Caring for Ourselves and Those We Love. The Kallah takes place on February 29 from 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The program features Shabbat morning service with Cantorial Soloist Susan Glickman, and guests Dr. Judy Garber and Rabbi Marcia Plumb. Boomers! Night at the Theatre, March 29
TBA Boomers are headed to the Boston Opera House on March 29 to see The Band’s Visit —now one of the most celebrated musicals ever. Join us for an informal pre-show gathering at  Sip  at 4:45 p.m. Click here to purchase show tickets . Click here to let us know you already have show tickets, but plan on joining us at Sip . Building Dedication Weekend, April 3 - 5
We have started planning the events taking place around the dedication of our new space. It will begin with a special Shabbat Service with musical guest Craig Taubman in honor of the 20 th  anniversary of the Anita Bamel Music Fund. Please be sure to save the dates because this is a weekend you will not want to miss!

The Rainbow Fish
Experience the sparkling story of "The Rainbow Fish" with his silver scales and heart of gold in this original stage adaptation of Marcus Pfister's award-winning book about the beautiful fish who learned to share his most prized possession. This timeless story of selflessness and the importance of sharing is brought to life with enchanting puppetry and beautiful illumination. Held at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton on Monday, January 20. Shows at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. For families with children ages 3-9 years. Cost is $18, JCC member cost is $16. JCDS Kindergarten Open Classroom
Sunday, January 26th from 3:00-4:15pm: Join JCDS in our play-based Kindergarten (Gan Nitzan) classroom. You will have the opportunity to meet prospective families with children ages 0-6 and learn more about our program from Amy, our General Studies Gan Nitzan teacher. 

JCDS Parlor Meeting
Wednesday, January 29th from 7:30-9:00pm: Join JCDS in Newton at the home of a current JCDS family. You will have the opportunity to meet with Dr. Susie Tanchel, Head of School, prospective families, and current families in this intimate setting.
