Shemini, Leviticus 9:1-11:47

The rules of cleanliness and uncleanliness, purity and impurity, are described with specific attention paid with relation to childbirth and the rules and treatment of one with leprosy.

What do we learn from this portion? There is no person - clean or unclean, pure or impure, healthy or sick, that does not deserve our careful attention and concern.

Have you adopted a Shabbat?

We have just three Shabbats this spring and summer without an oneg host — June 12, July 24 and Aug. 7. If you're one of the dozen or so temple families who didn't sign up for a Shabbat, please email Marcia at shoelady27@aol.com to adopt one of them. It's a mitzvah!

Look for TBE News in your inbox every Thursday morning. Send your thoughts, suggestions, corrections and contributions by email to  info@tbemtsinai.org and send temple family news items to Joan Perrin at perrinjoan@aol.com.
