The Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida for Suncoast Youth Conservation Center, a 2019 Bay Mini-Grant winner, set out on a mission to immerse underserved youths in nature-based activities, successfully providing this experience to 624 students.

TBEP's Water Quality Dashboard in the 2020 RStudio Shiny Contest
TBEP is using Shiny (a web development platform) to enhance access to data visualization and engage our partners with relevant scientific content to enhance decision-making for the protection of environmental resources. The 2020 RStudio Shiny contest provided an opportunity for science communicators around the world to highlight their work in a rapidly expanding virtual platform.
Ever wonder how a dredging project could improve water quality? Well, as Pinellas County began the "most important phase" of the Lake Seminole Restoration Project late last year, they leaned on dredging and its ability to remove about 900,000 cubic yards of organic sediment from the lake, hopefully bringing the lake to its healthiest state in decades.
