On a recent episode of the City of St. Pete's On The Job series, Boyd Hill Ranger Amy takes the viewer on a tour of the Preserve's Birds of Prey Program—just one of the many experiences one might have as they explore the space's 245 acres. Besides showcasing the Program's feathered residents, this beautifully produced video sheds light on the amount of work (often carried out by a team of dedicated volunteers) it takes to keep the birds healthy and happy.
Through preserve visits and field trips to Saturday morning markets, Boyd Hill plays a crucial role in connecting us to the natural world. Learn more about the many ways you can support their efforts HERE.

Friends of Tampa Bay Aquatic Preserves, Inc. Signing Ceremony.
In the fall of 2019 the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council facilitated the celebration of Boca Ciega Bay Aquatic Preserve's 50th Anniversary. Since then, citizens have been working together to jump-start what would eventually become the Friends of Tampa Bay Aquatic Preserves, Inc. Dedicated to the protection of these natural resources, the group hopes to build awareness, supporting the investment of management efforts that ensure the health of these important systems.
To celebrate, the group hosted an outdoor (socially-distanced) signing ceremony this past Tuesday (pictured above). Learn more about their efforts by visiting Tampabayaquaticpreserves.org
TBEP's Marcus Beck Guest Blogs About Open Science & Tampa Bay.
Our Program uses open science to craft reporting products that are transparent, efficient, and reproducible. Take, for example, our annual water quality report card, used to communicate to our partners what needs to be done to ensure water quality targets are met to support seagrass growth. TBEP Program Scientist Marcus Beck breaks our approach down in a brand new Openscapes Guest Blog.
