Four Year-Old and Seven Year-Old Sisters Rescued from Sex Trafficking in Peru
God at Work

Psalm 82:3 states "Give justice to the poor and the orphan; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute."  As Christians, we are to stand-up for those who cannot stand-up for themselves.  There are many helpless people in this world who desperately need protection, but children are by far the most vulnerable.  It is imperative that our Christian community places a high priority on the protection of God's innocent little creations.

The dark world of child sex trafficking remains rampant in many developing countries, but it is not isolated to the far regions of the globe.  It has also become prevalent in the United States, where there is a plethora of money that often fuels the trade in developing countries.  The Barnabas Group ("TBG") is honored to bring you this amazing story of how two TBG members, Eric Bezko and Dan Streit, participated in a successful undercover sex trafficking bust.

TBG supported ministry, Breaking Chains, headed the undercover operation.
The Founder of Breaking Chains, Steven Cass, had been working undercover on this case for some time with the U.S. Homeland Security Department, and the Peruvian Government.  The case involved a U.S. citizen who had been trafficking young girls in Peru for over a decade.  However, they still lacked enough evidence to arrest the U.S. citizen.  This is where TBG members, Eric and Dan, came in.  Their specific roles were to play the part of the "buyers" who would rent a four year-old girl and her seven year-old sister from their mother for an afternoon.

In December of 2015, Eric and Dan arrived in Lima Peru, and assisted with the undercover bust which successfully led to the arrest of both the girl's mother, and the U.S. citizen who was the "kingpin" of the sex trafficking organization.
It also led to numerous additional arrests within the sex trafficking organization, and the rescue of 36 sex trafficking victims.  Among those rescued were the two sisters who were placed in the care of the Peruvian Child Welfare Service.

The following are two news stories that documented the undercover operation:
