Working Papers, Transcripts and Recommendation Requests
For working papers applications, official transcripts and/or recommendation requests for all non-college programs, please see your School Counselor in Room 141 for appropriate forms. Parents and discipuli, please allow at least 2 weeks for processing a transcript and/or recommendation.
Please note for Recommendation Requests: You must fill out the questionnaire on back of the Transcript/Recommendation Request form and attach a resume if you have one. Recommendation and Transcript requests must be hand-delivered to your counselor!

HOW DO THE BOOT CAMP CLASSES WORK?
We are offering eight free SAT Workshops in various subjects. All classes will be taught by our NYU and Columbia University-educated center director and will include clear explanations of test format, review of test strategies, detailed lessons and concept reviews, and lots and lots of practice!

MindMatters Tutorial - Internship opportunity!
MindMatters Tutorial is a private learning center located in Astoria, Queens. We offer various high-quality, yet affordable tutoring services for both children and adults. Our instructors are highly experienced and qualified individuals from top universities (Columbia, NYU, etc.) who are either studying education or certified in teaching.
We are seeking high school interns to not only participate, but to learn from our cause by serving as Educational Assistants. EA interns are expected to assist instructors by mentoring younger students and performing general office duties. In return, Educational Assistants are credited with community service hours, receive FREE SAT classes and college readiness workshops (personal statements, resumes, etc.), and are trained to become our next generation of instructors upon graduation.

is a nonprofit that provides free computer programming workshops to high school students from underrepresented backgrounds. The workshops take place on the weekends over the course of a month and serve as an entry point for students to become exposed to computer science.
During the workshop, students learn to create interactive games and applications in the programming language Ruby and walk away with 25 hours of computer programming experience and an understanding of whether it is an area they want to continue pursuing. Best of all, no prior coding experience is needed!

College Application Week for Class II Discipuli
October 17-21
is a
statewide effort to raise awareness about the importance of college planning and to support schools in helping low-income; first generation college bound students apply. Here in NYC, we'd like this week to be a citywide celebration of college-going cultures in our schools and an opportunity to bring extra supports into schools. We know that you are doing college application activities year-round, but we'd like you to join us during college application week to be a part of this exciting citywide effort.
Our goal is to have 100% of all NYC DOE high schools participate!
Registration is now open; to participate
sign up by using this link by September 30 to ensure delivery of promotional materials.
Once you are registered, you will receive:
- I Applied" student stickers and "Ask Me About College" staff stickers, "Go College NY" posters and brochures from HESC
- Access to online site coordinator manual and toolkit which includes checklists, student instructions and other planning resources.
- An opportunity to request volunteers. NYCDOE is working with CUNY, SUNY and other partners to coordinate volunteer college application support (registration link to follow soon)
- An opportunity to participate in College Week Live, a virtual college fair on Oct 6
Register to march with the NYC DOE Disability Pride Parade
On Sunday, July 10, in collaboration with the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities, the NYC Department of Education will celebrate Disability Pride NYC. We will be marching to increase the knowledge and awareness of disability history, the disability rights movement, and to promote the inclusion and visibility of people with disabilities. The parade begins at Union Square at 11:00 a.m. The event will include food, music and remarks from NYC officials.
New York Road Runners Free Youth Wheelchair Racing Clinic
Do you know a young person with a physical disability who wants to learn to use a racing wheelchair?
New York Road Runners invites youth ages 5-18 to our first-ever NYRR Youth Wheelchair Racing Clinic. We'll introduce parents and youth to the sport of wheelchair racing, teach them the fundamentals and then give them an opportunity to try it out. NYC Schools Account Enhancements
A new feature has been added to NYC Schools Account (NYCSA), which will require all parents or guardians who use NYCSA to validate their email address in order to continue to view their child's data. Going forward, after creating their account, all new users will receive an email from NYCSA asking them to click on a link to validate their email address. Upon signing in to their NYC Schools Account, current users will be asked to confirm their email address by September 30, if they have not already done so.
Beginning October 1, users who have not yet validated their email address will be unable to access their child's data in NYCSA until they do so.

NYC School Account - Click here to create an account with a temporary password. If you do not have a temporary password, you will have to come to the school to obtain one. Please ensure that you have a valid ID.
With a NYC Schools Account, parents are able to access key information about their child's progress in school, including attendance, report card grades, general student information, and test scores (new) in one of ten languages on a computer, phone or tablet. Schools Account information including an FAQ and how parents can register can be found.
