The Black Response Community Education Workshops

Starting in January 2024, TBR is reintroducing the biweekly community education workshops and skillshares. Our objective in offering these spaces is our commitment to honor the legacy of George Floyd and the uprisings of 2020.

We aim to center marginalized community members and focus on developing non-carceral safety response strategies. We also aim to build community capacity for collective care, mutual aid, and creating safe spaces that can grow public support for decreasing encounters with police and gather champions for the cause of allocating resources to community care and safety alternatives.

We will foster political awareness about abolitionist values, root causes of carceral systems, power dynamics in struggles for social change, and transformative and restorative justice frameworks. We invite you all to join us.
