Shalom friends,

Welcome to TBT's emailed newsletter.

New and fun events keep getting added to the calendar. They are in RED below. Beautiful and inspiring services are always available.   Scroll down and see the exciting things planned for our dynamic and MORE importantly, warm and welcoming community.

The office will e-mail flyers (as attachments) to those congregants who request it.  Please call the temple office, (516) 221-2370, or email Sue-Ellen (spennington@temple-bnai-torah.org) with your request.  Printed flyers will continue to be available at the temple for you to peruse and take home.

We are pleased to announce that our representative from Israeli Bonds confirmed sales from the Israeli Bond Breakfast on March 26, 2017 to honor Rabbi Howard Nacht and Patti Nacht exceeded the past three years.

The continued support by Temple B'nai Torah for Israeli Bonds is essential to the stability of Israel. The monies go directly to the operations of the Israeli government. In addition proceeds from the sale of Israel Bonds have played a decisive role in Israeli's rapid evolution into a ground breaking, global leader in high-tech, green-tech and bio-tech.

Thank you

To The Congregation:
At its monthly meeting in June, the Board of Trustees voted to adopt a policy regarding the types of foods that will not be permitted inside the Temple or on Temple grounds.  The policy was approved in two parts:

    (1)  No pork products or shellfish is allowed.
    (2)  "Kosher-style" rules should be observed as well.  This means that meat and dairy products should not be mixed or served from the same dish at future temple functions on TBT property.

We request that you respect not just the spirit, but the letter, of this new policy at all times.

Thanking you in advance for your cooperation,
Rob Saunders

TBT Sisterhood is proud to  sell Torah cards as a service to the temple. The cost is a minimum donation of $5.00 per card.

All proceeds from their sale are earmarked for a Torah Fund established by Sisterhood. This fund is to be used for anything related to Torah repair (self-explanatory) and/or purchase (e.g., Torah itself, covers, Yads, etc.).   So by buying these beautiful cards, you are really helping the temple.
