Procore is one construction platform that connects the entire project team, from the office to the field and across companies, providing one place to work together to do what they do best – build.
Designed with construction in mind, the platform provides access — from any device — to a single source of accurate and timely data (e.g. drawings, images, RFIs, invoicing, timesheets, scheduling) reducing miscommunication, errors, and rework; eliminating delays; and maintaining history for future projects and dispute resolution, with a real-time, consolidated view of the entire project - so users know if projects are on-time, on-budget, and course-correct quickly.
Users also have access to analytics to make sense of their data, gain a deep understanding of their business and improve decision making.
With an office right here in Toronto, we’re proud to partner with TCA members as they look for ways to build smarter together.

Why invest in women in construction?
The construction industry is booming, and it seems wrong that so much energy and resources are focused on filling roles, instead of delivering projects. The Construction Institute of Canada (TCIC) understands how stressful this can be. This workshop focuses on improving employee retention by developing leaders from the talent that exists inside your organization. Female talent can often be overlooked. We focus on identifying and developing that talent. Our curriculum is designed based on the Canadian Construction Association’s Gold Seal standard.
The curriculum includes:
Female Leadership in Construction:
Understanding the difference between transactional and transformational leadership models and when to lean into each style.
Core Values:
Understand your internal motivations and how to inspire other people.
Social And Emotional Intelligence:
How to influence others and build relationships.
Sponsorship Vs. Mentorship:
How to create opportunities for yourself and others.
The Leadership Mindset:
How to manage self-doubt, imposter syndrome and how to think strategically.

South End Community Centre
The City of Guelph is seeking tenders for the construction of the South End Community Centre
The new multi-use community centre is 165,000-square-foot featuring a twin pad arena, an aquatic complex, double gym, multi-use program and meeting room spaces, and an indoor walking track and warm-up area, will be built on existing City-owned lands immediately south of Bishop Macdonell Catholic High School on Poppy Drive.
The facility’s green initiatives, which align with the City’s Community Net Zero Carbon and Corporate 100% Renewable Energy (100RE) goals, will result in 62 per cent energy savings and 85 per cent savings in greenhouse gas emissions. Through an energy-conservation-first approach and incorporating renewable energy generation, this takes the City one step closer to achieving its goal of 100 per cent of energy from renewable sources by 2050.
It’s estimated it will cost $80 million to build the new community centre, with 85 per cent covered by development charges and the balance funded through taxes.
Construction is expected to start in 2022 with an opening date of fall 2024.
