TCA's 1st Women's Golf Day Recap
TCA's 1st Women's Golf Day was perfect and exceeded expectations!
The Toronto Construction Association (TCA) held its first-ever women's golf day event on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Angus Glen Golf Club! Despite unprecedented times due to COVID-19, the event was a tremendous success and sold out within a day. The 18 holes available for sponsorships were all claimed.
Even though the weather condition was a little windy, the ladies enjoyed the day and had fun on a fantastic course. There were plenty of attractions at this inaugural event including wood oven pizza; photo booth; pretzel station; cannoli; espresso and gelato; air cannon; and cotton candy. The ladies even got golf tips from Canadian professional golfer Megan Osland who was also in attendance.
With such remarkable success, we are looking to make the TCA Women's Golf Day an annual event for women in the construction industry and can not wait for you ladies to join us again next year.
Special thank you to all our sponsors for help making our first Women's Golf Day event an incredible success. We are grateful and appreciate your continued support.

Thank you to all who participated and joined us for our 1st Women's Golf Day. It was a pleasure to host you all

TCA and Angus Glen worked steadily to ensure that all protocols were adhered to due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Special THANK YOU to our amazing Sponsors

WSIB Worksheet Now Available to Adjust Premiums Reported to Exclude CEWS Subsidy Amounts

At their recent AGM, the WSIB indicated that businesses may retroactively adjust any insurable earnings to exclude CEWS amounts received from March 15, 2020 onwards. This is an update to the Board’s financial relief package

The WSIB now has a worksheet for businesses to adjust premiums contributed. Completed forms or questions about reporting premiums can be sent to employeraccounts@wsib.on.ca. The WSIB will review and process adjustments on the account once they have received the worksheet.

Moving forward, businesses that continue to receive a CEWS subsidy used to pay employees who are on leave and not working may deduct those earnings at the time they are reported to the WSIB.

In terms of completing the form, the deduction of the CEWS amount from insurable earnings is included for the period in which the business received the subsidy.

  • For example, a business who applied for the CEWS claims period of August 30 – September 26, but did not receive the approval/funds until October, should account for any amounts when reporting their October period, as that is when the approval/funds were received.
