Need to Know
Here are the top 2 things to know this week:
Pastor's Note: The Presumption of Blessings
In agrarian ancient Israel, the idea of bringing the firstfruits to God (read Deuteronomy 26:1-11) was an act of worship and gratitude for the gift of salvation from the bondage of Egypt and the gift of the land. Proverbs picks up this law and spells out the blessing of giving our firstsfruits to God in no uncertain terms (Proverbs 3:9-10): "then your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will be bursting with wine." The idea of surplus is conveyed through the word "plenty" which has the sense of being satiated...

Announcements
Nominating Committee

The Board has appointed the following members to serve on the Nominating Committee: Asa Foster (Moderator), Tom Petter (Senior Pastor), Nickaela Fiore-Keyes (Board), John Marciniec, Irene Germano, Manny Figueroa and Heather Hancock. We are grateful for the four members of the congregation who have accepted our invitation to serve on the committee.

The Nominating Committee is responsible for nominating members of the congregation to fill all open, elected positions at the Annual Meeting. This year, there are openings for all officer positions (Moderator, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer and Clerk), which are one-year terms. The Board has 2 vacancies, the Deacons have 4 vacancies, and the Finance Committee has 1 vacancy.

These are important roles as TCC moves forward and we encourage members not only to consider serving but also participating in the nomination process.  Please prayerfully consider any recommendations you may have and submit them directly to a Nominating Committee member.
Salvation Army Bell Ringers Needed

Paul Church is the local volunteer coordinator for the Salvation Army bell ringers’ annual fund raising campaign this year. The Salvation Army is one of the oldest Christian service organizations; it does its yearly fundraising only at Christmas time. Hourly time slots are available for adults and children at local markets in Cochituate and Wayland. This is a terrific introduction to Christian service for families during the Christmas season. Would you be willing to donate one hour, during daytime business hours, beginning December 2? If so, please contact Paul at 617-947-1903 or at [email protected] .
Angel Tree Gift Deadline is Sunday, December 8th!

All the “Angels” have now been taken from the Angel Tree. Thank you! If possible, please include a gift receipt with your gift in case an item needs to be exchanged. Also, attach the Angel Tree tag to your wrapped gifts and return them to TCC by December 8th.  Leave your gifts on the tables set up in the stairwell area off the lobby.

Can you help?  If you would like more information on this program or could help with gift delivery, please contact Jim Santamaria 508-358-7821 or    [email protected].

We can't do church alone! LIFE Groups help us grow in our faith and meet throughout the Metro West area.

Each Sunday there are dozens of volunteers that make our services and programs happen. Serving is a great way to get connected to our community.

Food Pantry
Spread the word. If you are in need, or if you know someone who is in need, such as single parents, those on a fixed income, unemployed or others who could use a helping hand, please feel free to visit the church office for assistance from our loaves & fishes food pantry. Our Food Pantry is open on Sundays and regular church hours.

The TCC Food Pantry offers assistance to those in the community who need help with providing for themselves and their family. Our food pantry is open on Sundays and during regular church office hours. Donations to “Loaves & Fishes” Food Pantry are gratefully accepted. There is a collection bin on a table near the lobby stairwell.
