TCF is THANKFUL for YOU!
We couldn't do what we do without your continued generosity, kindness and compassion for your neighbors.
It is because of your generous donations that TCF is able to award over $400,000.00 in grants each year to non-profits, individuals, and families.

YOU, our generous donors, help us to support promising students, senior services, youth development, women and families, caregivers of loved ones with Alzheimer's or Dementia, and victims of fires, accidents or other catastrophic events, and so many more!
See your generosity at work:
ANNA'S PLACE said "The grant from The Community's Foundation continues to impact over 130 guests who visit Anna's Place weekly. Because of the generosity of TCF we are able to provide guests with bags of groceries, toiletries, household items and a weekly hot lunch. Most of the guests who visit Anna's Place suffer from mental illness, homelessness, housing poverty and food insecurity".
THE DELAWARE COUNTY LIBRARIES said "This summer we were able to offer several activities through the wildlife grant program... including weekly zoom programs with Eyes of the Wild Sanctuary, weekly trivia sheets we used in conjunction with the Ebooks purchased, and a flyer from the Are You Smarter Than a Mammologist trivia game show, as well as our StoryWalk that included two books this summer."

CHILDCARE PROFESSIONALS NETWORK said "CCPN hosted Parent & Child paint nights... Each parent/child was given half a canvas, and worked together to paint a picture so that when both halves of the canvas were put together it would form a full picture. An instructor guided and answered questions about the canvases, making colors, helping fix mistakes, etc."
COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY OF DELAWARE COUNTY said "CAADC received a grant for our Rental Assistance Program. CAADC was able to help a family in Chester to remain in their housing due to the grant. The program overall has continued to provide assistance to families to prevent eviction or to establish permanent housing. Community support has been especially vital during the Pandemic ."
TCF HEALTH PROFESSIONS SCHOLARSHIPS Your generosity helps TCF award over $110,000.00 in scholarships to over 15 high school students each year - THANK YOU! These scholars go on to become doctors, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practioners, dentists, biomedical engineers, pharmacists, physical or occupational therapists, etc. and many return to practice right here in Delaware County!
One of our scholars, Maia Mesyngier, recently provided the following update: "I wanted to send an update and another thank you to the TCF team for your support along the way. I am now a month into my second year in the Harvard/MIT MD-PhD program doing my MD in the Health Science and Technology (HST) track. I spent most of last year learning virtually but am excited to be fully back on campus now attending classes in person and working in lab. In the lab I have also been doing research looking at immune responses to COVID vaccines and the interactions of influenza with the immune system. Thanks for your support in getting to this moment".
KARA BARNARD FUND FOR YOUTH LITERACY (KBYL) A donation to this fund supports the literacy needs of families in Delaware County. As a donor, you can directly influence the life of a child in our own community.
There are so many generous book donors who have consistently helped TCF and the KBYL team inspire our next generation of readers through monetary and in-kind donations of new or gently used books.
Thank you to all who donate and invest in the all-important literacy of our children !
PLAY FOR THE A's - Play for the A’s benefits patients and families, especially caregivers, dealing with the overwhelming effects of Alzheimer’s and Dementia patients. The primary goal for the Play for the A’s fund is to give the “Gift of Time” to the caregivers of Alzheimer’s and Dementia patients. Coach Jef Hewlings (who started this fund to honor the memory of his parents) holds a Lacrosse Tournament each year, in support of Play for the A's, between local high school teams.
Here are a few sentiments from local families that have been helped by your generous donations:

"My sister really appreciated the gift cards! The family got together at a new restaurant in the area. The time spent with family is precious and we're extremely grateful your organization and Play for the A’s made this happen."

"Thank you for all the help we received. I slept like a rock last night knowing we have a chance to breathe...without that panic in our throats!"

"I was simply overwhelmed that there was someone (TCF, Jef and the Play for the A's fund) out there that thought about and cared for the caregivers of loved ones with Alzheimer's and/or dementia. I immediately cried with relief that someone cared about me and my family and what we are going through."
PAY IT FORWARD-SUNSHINE FUND helps families in times of great need. The fund supports un-covered health costs or other out of pocket expenses for Delaware County individuals who experience traumatic injuries or other tragic events. Your generosity has afforded TCF the ability to help a little girl who is recovering from a traumatic brain injury, that she sustained after being struck by a car while exiting her school bus; also a young Glen Mills athlete relearn how to walk after a devastating accident, and given a Media man with a spinal injury a chance to receive intense and expensive physical therapy. This fund has also helped several displaced families due to significant fire damage to their homes in Chester and Folcroft.
EDDYSTONE YOUTH FUND (EYF) helps to provides for the welfare of the youth of Eddystone through recreational, community, educational, and other beneficial programs and activities. Thanks to your donations, TCF and the EYF team have hosted and sponsored youth sporting activities, donated much needed hats, coats, gloves and books to the youth of Eddystone, sponsored an "Arden for All" theatre program at Eddystone Elementary School and purchased memberships for 17 Eddystone Elementary School teachers to the Teachers' Teammates organization; this membership includes 5 shopping trips for much needed school supplies for these grateful teachers.
The Community's Foundation wishes you a wonderful holiday season and best wishes for continued health and happiness in the New Year!
"May this season find you with those you love, surrounded by the twin glories of generosity and gratitude" (Oprah Winfrey)
