TCFA members meet with Rep's Tan Parker and Justin Holland in the Dallas Fort Worth Area.
Jamie Parra, Jr. meets with Rep. Ryan Guillen in Rio Grande City and Govenor Abbott in Austin.

TCFA is a very important vehicle for our industry as we continue to brand, educate and differentiate our industry as one that provides long term benefit to our customers by delivering safe and affordable small dollar loans in local communities in Texas.

Dues are vital to keeping TCFA strong, and this subject, including our dues structure, was surfaced at the January Board meeting as an important topic to address. While the dues structure and dues amounts for TCFA have not changed for decades, our industry and the needs of our membership have changed considerably. For that reason, the Board feels that the time is right to examine the issue more closely.

At the meeting, I made a commitment to chair a new committee to evaluate this topic and provide the Board with a recommendation in time for our July convention. Several members expressed an interest in serving on this committee and I will be reaching out to you during April so we can start this important work.

I encourage all members of TCFA to let me know any questions, concerns or ideas about this topic. Please email me directly at Also, if you have a strong desire to serve on this committee, please let me know so I can make sure you are a part of this critical project.
