ISSUE 618/May 1, 2025

Message from the Executive Director

Liebe TCGIS Gemeinschaft / Dear TCGIS Community,

Our admin/board team is gearing up for the listening sessions next week that will lead to our new Strategic Plan. Our parents/guardians, teachers and staff, administrators, and school board will all have their session next Wednesday, May 7th. RSVP HERE. Our students' session will be the following day on May 8th. All are welcome. All are invited. Gail, our facilitator, has assured us there is room in the process for all who want in. If meeting in person at a listening session is not doable for your busy May schedule, please know that all stakeholders will receive a survey in which to deliver ideas. We look forward to the process, the product and the progress that it will bring to our school.

Danke im Voraus! Thanks in advance.

Elizabeth Zehnpfennig, Executive Director

School News & Updates

No School and Front Office Closed May 7th

This is a reminder that there is no school on, May 7th for a Teacher Professional Development Day. The front office will also be closed all day. Any messages for the office can be sent to info@tcgis.org and we will respond when we return on May 8. Have a good break!

Last Day of School will be Early Release

We waited this year until we were out of the woods with weather to determine whether we would need the extra instructional hours on June 11th or not. We believe we are in the clear now. As a result the last day of school, June 11th will be an Early Release Day for all students. Kinderclub is ready to pivot for this change.

Summer Camp Registration is Closing TODAY!

Let's Finish Strong!

We are just ONE DAY away from the conclusion of our spring campaign and we are SO CLOSE to reaching our goal of raising $10,000 for our school. Thanks to our students and families, we have spread kindness across our community and raised $8,275 for our school. Send those final emails so we can meet our goal!

Lost and Found and Glasses Found!

The lost and found is getting donated next Friday! Come check it out before its gone! Also, if you lost your glasses at school- we have them in the front office! Stop by to claim your glasses.

Spring (Screening) is here!

Some of our literacy assessments with students will begin as early as the week of May 5th. Most of our screening activities with students will take place between May12th - May 22nd.

Universal screening is an important part of our multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) framework at TCGIS. It allows us to identify those students who are on-track to meet grade-level standards in reading and math, and also to identify those students who may need some additional support to meet grade-level goals by the end of the year.

Students in every grade level will participate in at least one assessment so that we can learn more about their current skills and knowledge. A brief summary, by grade level, is provided here.

8th Grade Parents - Graduation is Around the Corner on June 8!!

It's hard to believe that graduation is just a few short weeks away on Jun 8th 1-3:30PM. We are planning a few projects to make the graduation amazing and need your help! Please click here to see what we need from you to make this day special.

Did you want a graduation yard sign but forgot to buy one? There are 3 left!! They are for sale in the Infinite Campus School Store.

Also, don't forget our camping trip over Memorial Day weekend! Keep an eye on your email for details.
