Spring was a busy time: we initiated a Kiva inspired campaign for International Women’s Day in March ; Avis Yates Rivers spoke on the importance of women and girls in STEM at a Merck Women in Tech (MWIT) in Branchburg, NJ; Avis participated in ServiceNow’s Knowledge17 Conference in Orlando, FL, (TCGi is a Software Asset Management service provider); TCGi was the NMSDC Leadership Awards MBE Co-Chair; we participated in the #WeAreNMSDC campaign (check out our video below in the media gallery); and Avis was also featured on an NMSDC podcast .

One of our biggest accomplishments was achieved in May, when TCGi was ranked #3 of the 50 Fastest-Growing Women Owned/Led Companies by the Women Presidents Organization & American Express. It was featured in Forbes and Fortune.
During the summer, Avis was invited to speak at the Supply Nation Connect 2017 Conference in Sydney, Australia - which is geared toward diverse suppliers in the indigenous Australian community; and the annual WBENC National Conference & Business Fair in Las Vegas, NV.  Avis also had speaking engagements with NCWIT, the Anita Borg Institute and the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE).

Our fall was an exciting one (check out our October highlights video below)! Beginning with our participation in the WPEO Breakfast & Procurement Fair.
Soon after, TCGi had a space in the inaugural “Women of Color Pavilion” at the NMSDC Conference in Detroit, MI The pavilion included a spa-like experience for participants and was comprised of an elite group of six women-owned companies who combined space to create the pavilion.

TCGi was also honored as one of the 2017 “MBEs Who Rock” recipients that same weekend.
During this busy month, the TCGi team wrote its first collaborative blog about the importance of the International Day of the Girl and what it means to us individually.
Also in October, TCGi received the Corporate Award from the African-American Chamber of Commerce - New Jersey (AACCNJ) and CEO Avis Yates Rivers keynoted the ISM-NJ chapter’s Women & Leadership Conference.
In late November, TCGi announced its selection to Genpact's Partner Plus Program, thus expanding our Procurement and Tail Spend Management capabilities.

Her family would like to bring awareness to the fight against cancer as well as help others who are fighting th is illness.
On October 21, 2017 Dawna's family and TCGi members participated in the first annual memorial walk/bike/run in her honor at Piscataway, NJ's Johnson Park.
We at TCGi have created the Dawna J. Colbert Scholarship Fund in her memory as part of the newly formed TCGi Foundation.
