Please join us in celebrating our 22-year anniversary by supporting a very special volunteer organization dear to the heart and soul of our firm: the Akron Children's Hospital Doggie Brigade.
Founded in 1992, the ACH Doggie Brigade's mission is to foster positive interactions between humans and animals, with the goal of enhancing the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of the young patients they serve.
The impact of interacting with specially trained therapy dogs is well-documented. It helps alleviate tension, provides a comforting distraction for patients during medical procedures, and contributes to both physical and emotional healing. A small yet meaningful part of each ACH Doggie Brigade visit involves distributing trading cards to patients and their families, leaving a lasting and cherished memory. Pictured below is the trading card of our cherished Chief Morale Officer Emeritus, Macaroni Torrens.
Pictured above, Rafferty Macaroni Torrens has served as our Chief Morale Officer ('CMO') since puppyhood. As the tiniest and only "Converse Chuck Taylor-wearing" member of the ACH Doggie Brigade, Rafferty volunteers every Friday morning at Akron Children's Hospital. Having honed outstanding therapy skills, Rafferty brings comfort, joy, love, and warm fluffy cuddles to young patients, their families, and hospital staff members. Please follow Rafferty's weekly volunteer activities on his Instagram account: @raffmondoodle.
