Johns Hopkins University has formally requested to close the 200 block of Wyman Park Drive for 4 years to construct the new Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Institute (DSAI). They are also requesting to transfer air rights and subterranean rights for the 200 block of Wyman Park Drive. The plan includes both a tunnel under the road and a large pedestrian bridge.

 

Tuscany Canterbury Neighborhood Association has not taken a position on this issue. If you are interested in this issue, you may attend the meeting following: Baltimore City Planning Committee Meeting: August 28 1:00 PM, You may also submit written testimony to the Baltimore City planning department by sending an mail to eric.tiso@baltimorecity.gov before 8/26/2025 at 4pm.

Charles Street 12K RACE

August 30, 2025





  • Charles Street (both sides) and intersections will be closed during the race, 7:30AM to 1PM.


  • Race starts at 7:30 AM in Towson.


  • Most racers will be in Tuscany-Canterbury area between 8:00 and 9:30 AM.


  • Once the last runner passes, the road will reopen.


  • No Parking on either side of Charles Street from 12AM to 12 PM

2025 Maryland Cycling Classic

Saturday, September 6


America’s premier professional cycling race debuts both men’s and women’s competitions together for the first time on an exciting new 17.9-mile (28.8km) circuit course entirely in the City of Baltimore


The race will go up Falls Road to Northern Parkway and then down Roland Avenue.

Baltimore City Pitch-in Neighborhood Dumpster

  • Household trash
  • Furniture
  • Cans
  • Glass
  • Plastics
  • Cardboard

Baltimore City allows each neighborhood to schedule a dumpster four times each year. Anyone in the neighborhood may use the dumpster.


It is delivered in the morning and is available for four hours. Please place your materials inside the dumpster.

NOT ALLOWED

  • No paint, solvents, gasoline, pesticides
  • No yard waste (i.e. trees, tree parts, etc.)
  • No mercury thermometers, florescent light bulbs
  • No propane tanks, fire extinguishers, helium tanks
  • No construction debris: wood, flooring, cement, bricks, sheetrock, wall materials, concrete, roofing
  • No refrigerators, freezers, ovens, washing machines
  • No hazardous substance
  • No metal
  • No motorized or non-motorized vehicles, automotive waste or parts (i.e. mopeds, bicycles, or motorcycles)


The items that are not allowed in the neighborhood dumpster can be taken to the 2840 Sisson Street site Monday to Saturday. Hazardous Waste Collection is the first weekend of each month till October.
