House improvements
this summer at TCR . . .

If you've happened to drive or walk by TCR this summer, you may have noticed  th at our beloved Victorian house is receiving all the care it deserves! We're thrilled that our front porch is currently being repaired by our friends at Conneely Contracting, and the house is being freshly painted by Burigo's Painting so that we can be ready to begin a brand new year creating safe, supportive communities for grieving children, teens, and families. It's an exciting time full of positive energy, and we thank you for your patience while our center is under repair.

Please continue to use the 1210 Mass. Ave. entrance when you come to visit.

Stay tuned for the before and after photos in our next newsletter in September!

As of August 1, 2016, she has chosen to return to the world of healthcare philanthropy, where she worked for 20 years before joining our The Children's Room (TCR) team.

Kim Cayer

Please join us in congratulating Kim Cayer on her promotion to Philanthropy Director.  Kim has served as the Development Associate at TCR since 2010 where she oversaw major events, the annual fund, and grant writing.

Our Annual Memories Walk  is a great opportunity to come together to celebrate our special community, remember those who have died, and support the important programs of The Children's Room.

The walk will cover 3 miles along Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington. Afterward, we will gather at Arlington Town Hall to celebrate with food, entertainment, and an inspirational program to commemorate the day. This is a very family-friendly event, and we encourage you to bring your children.

Sunday, October 23rd
10:30 am beginning at Arlington Town Hall

Walk registration is underway. Sign up today to be a part of TCR's biggest community event and set up your personal fundraising page when you register!

If you have any questions, please contact Becca at walk@childrensroom.org or 781-641-4741 x334.

We look forward to walking together on October 23rd!
