Promotions:

Ryan Walsh, PE, Associate Principal

Ryan came to The Di Salvo Engineering Group in September 2015 with five years of experience in temporary and permanent design for mass transit projects in and around New York City. He was hired as a Project Engineer and after holding several positions has now been promoted to Associate Principal. His work at TDEG includes design and detailing for projects involving new structures and retrofit and repair of existing structures; construction document preparation, structural design calculations, special inspections, field visits, and construction administration.

Stephen Lehigh, PE, Associate Principal

Steve came to The Di Salvo Engineering Group in May 2015 with 12 years of experience in temporary design for mass transit projects in New York City. He has an extensive background in temporary shoring design, support of excavation and underpinning design. He was hired as a Senior Project Engineer and has worked his way up to Associate Principal. His work at TDEG includes managing projects and other engineers to provide high quality designs. He excels at developing timely solutions to obstacles arising during the construction process. Steve leads our Colorado office.

Jason Henion, PE, Senior Project Manager

Jason joined The Di Salvo Engineering Group in June 2014. He graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with experience working as a bridge inspection intern on the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge in New Haven, CT. He completed his Masters of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering in 2015 while working full-time at TDEG. Jason's work at TDEG as a recently promoted Senior Project Manager includes structural design calculations, existing structure alterations, construction document preparation, special inspections and construction administration for many types of projects including commercial, educational, medical, and residential buildings.

Christian Briggs, PE, Senior Project Manager

After graduating Cum Laude from Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 2014, Christian joined The Di Salvo Engineering Group with the title of Engineer. Before coming to TDEG Christian gained construction experience working with both a heavy civil construction firm and a residential contractor. This valuable experience gives him a special insight into the needs of builders and an understanding of the construction process. After holding several positions he has been promoted to Senior Project Manager. His scope of work at TDEG includes the analysis and design of buildings and structural systems in sectors including commercial, educational, municipal, and residential. 

RECENTLY COMPLETED:

St. George's School

Middletown, RI

Architect: Voith & Mactavish Architects

Philadelphia, PA

St. George’s School is a private, Episcopal, coedu- cational school in Middletown, RI. This project includes the construction of new campus housing; two new 2-story, wood framed buildings with full basements The campus overlooks the Atlantic Ocean.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION:

Long Island Sound Residence

Lower Fairfield County, CT

Architect: Mark P. Finlay

Southport, CT

Two residential buildings and a swimming pool were demolished and removed to make way for this approximately 10,000 square-foot house with a detached one-story guest house.  The house is located near Long Island Sound.

ON THE BOARDS

Savings Bank of Danbury

Danbury, CT

The new four-story office building on the corner of Main and White Streets will "house the back-office operations" for the Savings Bank of Danbury. The bank was established in 1849 and is expanding its presence further into the community.
