Berkshire School Student Center

The 31,000 square foot Berkshire School Student Center is being renovated and will gain a 16,000 square foot addition. These improvements will “improve food quality and enhance the Student Center amenities”. The Berkshire School was founded in 1907 and is a co-ed boarding school for grades 9 through 12.

The Pound Ridge Fire Station will have an “updated, expanded and safer fire-house”. The project includes a two-bay equipment addition and a small office addition. The interior of the building will also be renovated.

Welcome Back John MacDonald, PE

John MacDonald, PE recently rejoined TDEG.


After graduating from the University of Connecticut with his BSCE in 1978 he was hired by Di Salvo + Cetra as a Project Engineer. In 1984 he became a partner with Dick Di Salvo and Art Sanders for the newly formed "Di Salvo Associates" in Ridgefield, CT.


In 1994, John left to become the sole proprietor of his own firm, then held positions at a Stamford firm and finally came full circle back to TDEG as a Principal Engineer.


He has 45 years of general structural engineering practice in Lower Fairfield and Westchester counties including many single-family residential, religious, institutional, food processing, and aerospace, industrial, and commercial/retail building projects. In recent years, he has had a strong focus on structural restoration and waterproofing programs for corrosion damaged parking structures.
