The Offshore Wind Industry is in the midst of change. President Trump announced a National Energy Emergency aimed at facilitating new energy production and infrastructure. He subsequently signed an Executive Order that imposes limitations on offshore wind development. This order suspends new lease sales for offshore wind on the Outer Continental Shelf and pauses the granting of new approvals while the administration conducts a thorough review of federal leasing and permitting practices.
Like many others, during this "pause", we've shifted our focus from US Offshore Wind back to our roots in Oil & Gas. The start of 2025 has provided a major focus on AFRICA, specifically offshore Morocco, Namibia, Nigeria, Angola and Congo. TDI-Brooks is presently operating three vessels in West and Southwest Africa, engaged in various projects for leading International Oil Companies (IOCs).
