TDI-Brooks Adds Geomil Manta-200 CPT To Their Geotechnical Capabilities

Next month TDI-Brooks will be adding a Geomil Manta-200 CPT System to their geotechnical capabilities. The TDI-Brooks’ Manta-200 Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) system is suitable for almost any project in shallow water up to 150 meters.

TDI-Brooks Awarded Sixth Offshore Wind Project on the US East Coast

Last month TDI-Brooks was awarded further offshore wind geophysical, geotechnical and benthic sampling survey campaigns off the US East Coast to study seabed conditions within the project lease area and potential export cable corridors.

Brooks McCall

Available on the US East Coast - Fall

The Brooks McCall will be mobbing next week for Phase I of an awarded offshore wind cable route (OCR) geophysical project on the US East Coast. This phase 1 of geophysical work is expected to take apx 60 days, with the expectation of more routes to be added.

We anticipate keeping the BMCC busy until at least the end of the summer with geophysical acquisition. The BMCC may have some smaller likely spot charter availability through the year.

In addition to analogue and digital geophysical surveys, the Brooks McCall's geotechnical capabilities include 40m CPT-Stinger and Stinger-Sampler, 20m Jumbo Piston Cores, Neptune 3,000 and 5,000 CPT, standard & pneumatic vibracoring and box/ROV grab sampling.

Miss Emma McCall

Available on the US East Coast - Fall

The Miss Emma McCall is currently conducting geophysical survey work on the US East Coast and was just awarded another 11,440 line-km of geophysical work in the same lease area. This is 5-6 months of survey work starting mid-April and lasting through late September.

We expect the Miss Emma McCall to remain on the US East Coast through 2024 with a focus on geophysical, light geotechnical and benthic programs for offshore wind operators. We are currently bidding on various projects along the coast.

The Miss Emma McCall's primary market niches on the US East Coast and GOM are analogue and digital geophysical surveys in addition to light geotechnical coring acquisition with 0.5 and 1 meter Box Corer amd 6 and 9 meter Piston Cores.

Proteus

Available on the US East Coast - Spring

Available in the Mediterranean and North/West Africa - Summer

The Proteus will be arriving on the US East Coast early-May to start about a month of geotechnical and benthic work on offshore cable routes (OCR) by mid-May. The Proteus could potentially be available mid-June for spot charter and/or follow-on geotechnical & benthic programs.

We do not expect this vessel to stay on the East Coast all Spring/Summer months as we have some not yet awarded large projects in play in the Mediterranean & Northwest Africa. We do plan on bringing online a 3rd party US-flagged OSV outfitted with A-Frames, winches, navigation system, etc. like our other vessels for a number of geotechnical projects and government work.

The Proteus is outfitted with TDI-Brooks’ complete geotechnical tool kit including our suite of innovative geotechnical tools for soil sampling and measurement.

The Proteus has a Kongsberg EM-710 (1x1) hull-mounted multibeam (MBES) for surveys to ~2,500m water depth for performing surface geochemical “seep-hunting” (SGE) and seabed heatflow surveys (HF).

Gyre

Available in the Caribbean and/or South America - Summer

The Gyre recently completed a G&G program off Trinidad for a major IOC. The Gyre will be in Colombian waters in April for an awarded deep-water geochemical seep-hunting project. From there the vessel will be available for geotechnical or seep-hunting programs.

Following the program in Colombia, we expect the Gyre to move to Guyana and then Trinidad.

The Gyre is capable of performing deep-water geotechnical coring including 20-meter Jumbo Piston cores (JPC), 40-meter CPT-Stinger acquisition. Other capabilities include environmental assessments, metocean, heat flow and environmental baseline studies (EBS).

The Gyre is outfitted with a Kongsberg EM 302 multibeam (MBES) echosounder capable of high-resolution seabed mapping from 10 meters to more than 8,000 meters. The Gyre has executed numerous offshore Surface Geochemical “Seep Hunting” Exploration (SGE) and Heat Flow programs for the world’s leading petroleum producers.
