R/V Brooks McCall &
R/V Miss Emma McCall
The Miss Emma McCall is equipped to acquire geophysical surveys for offshore hazard/site clearance assessments, pipeline/cable routing, seafloor mapping, port and channel conditions, fisheries habitat mapping and burial assessment studies.
The Miss Emma McCall is also well suited to perform geotechnical sediment and seabed coring/CPT for wind farm and LNG port facilities, pre/post excavation dredging.
The Brooks McCall’s primary market niche in the Gulf / US East Coast is geotechnical coring including 20-m JPC and 40-m CPT-Stinger acquisition including the ability to take Shelby tube samples to 40-m with our CPT-Sampler.
The Brooks McCall is available for pipeline hazard, cable route surveys, debris mapping, P-Cable, MBES, metocean, sand search, and environmental studies.

The RV Proteus is currently located at Tema, Ghana awaiting award of two geotechnical programs.
We have a number of active proposals for offshore Senegal, Cameroon and/or she will head over to the Caribbean for work off T&T, Guyana and Suriname.
Immediate availability for work off West Africa, Egypt, Eastern Med and Northern South America.
- The R/V Proteus is outfitted with TDI-Brooks’ complete geotechnical coring kit including 20m Jumbo Piston Core (JPC), 40m CPT-Stinger/ Shelby Tube Sampler along with our standard SGE/HF and EBS survey gear.
- The R/V Proteus is also equipped with a gondola that houses a Kongsberg EM-710 (1x1) hull-mounted MBES for surveys to ~2,500m water depth and hull-mounted Edgetech SBP with a 16-transducer (4x4) array.
The RV Gyre is currently in transit to the GOM from Colon, Panama for an awarded geotechnical program in Green Canyon.
We plan to have the Gyre in the GOM for follow-on programs until she heads to T&T for an awarded geotechnical program in August/September timeframe.
Availability in the GOM is May timeframe
Operating in the GOM, Northern South America, Caribbean and West Africa regions
- The R/V Gyre is outfitted with newly installed Kongsberg EM 302/304 MBES mounted on the hull within a gondola which provides suitable data for deep-water geochemical and geotechnical coring, heat flow, metocean and EBS studies.
- The R/V Gyre is also mobilized with TDI-Brooks’ complete geotechnical coring kit including 20m Jumbo Piston Core (JPC), 40m CPT-Stinger/ Shelby Tube Sampler along with our standard SGE/HF and EBS survey gear.

Marine Hydrographic Surveys
Offshore geophysical surveying is the systematic data collection and interpretation of features which affect maritime navigation, marine construction, dredging, offshore oil exploration/offshore oil drilling and related activities.
Each TDI-Brooks vessel can be mobilized with a full suite of geophysical survey instruments to safely conduct marine geophysical surveys. In addition to our in house vessel services, we offer portable tool kits which can be shipped globally to any vessel of opportunity.
TDI-Brooks employs an experienced team which includes hydrographers, geophysicists, geologists, oceanographers, mariners, cartographers, and GIS and CADD specialists to produce surveys and deliverables of the highest quality.

Surface Geochemical Exploration
Surface Geochemical “Seep Hunting” Exploration (SGE) is a petroleum prospecting tool based on the premise that upward migrated petroleum from deep source rocks and reservoirs can be detected in near-surface sediments and used to evaluate exploration potential. Deep seismic and multibeam surveys are used to select piston coring locations based on surface expression of deep faults and other features related to conduits for upward migration of hydrocarbons.
The TDI-Brooks team are foremost experts in conducting offshore Surface Geochemical “Seep Hunting” Exploration (SGE) and Heat Flow programs for the world’s leading petroleum producers. We possess a large collection of global SGE and heat flow program data.
