TEAM AMELIA SPOTLIGHT: BRIAN WEBBER
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND CARS & COFFEE AT THE CONCOURS CHAIRMAN
Jacksonville, FL - The Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance needs a full-time staff of nine employees to keep things running throughout the year. Even with that number of workers, each team member wears numerous hats and oversees multiple areas. For example, The Amelia's Executive Director, Brian Webber, also serves as the Chairman of Cars & Coffee at the Concours.

Webber has been involved with the Amelia since its founding as a volunteer and it’s bookkeeper on a part-time basis. In 2011, Brian became the foundation's full-time Executive Director.

Under Webber's executive leadership the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance Foundation's non-profit revenues quickly expanded. The new growth would enrich Florida's First Coast by increasing third-party charitable giving exponentially and creating a nearly $30,000,000 yearly economic impact on the local community.

Brian is also an avid motoring enthusiast and car collector. He has a passion for German and Japanese sports cars and can be seen driving around in many of the vehicles he enjoys working on and selling through his dealership, Webber Motors, LLC.

In 2013, Brian's passion led him to found The Amelia's "Cars & Coffee at the Concours." His vision would allow individuals with vintage, exotic, and collectible vehicles to gather on the same show field used to display vehicles entered in the following day’s prestigious Concours d’Elegance.

Unlike Sunday’s main event that is limited to a select group of vehicles with unique historical significance specifically chosen to tell a thoughtfully-scripted story, Saturday’s Cars & Coffee at the Concours would feature a diverse group of vehicles that celebrate the automotive enthusiast's spirit. Proud owners of beautiful collectible and exotic vehicles would awake early, shine up their prized automobiles, drive to The Golf Club of Amelia Island and gather with like-minded enthusiasts on the first, tenth, and eighteenth fairways for a cup or two of fresh coffee.

Under Brian's leadership the event has grown into one of the Southeast's prized motoring events. Registration fills up months before, creating a wait list that could populate a second event. Celebrities including Paul Teutul Jr. from Paul Jr. Designs and American Chopper and Jay Ward, Creative Director of Pixar's "Cars", present awards. Manufacturers debut new concepts and production vehicles.

"It is a pleasure and a privilege working at The Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, when you love what you do it doesn’t feel like work," said Brian Webber, Executive Director. "I can’t thank Bill Warner enough for supporting the idea of a Cars & Coffee on the same show field as the Concours."
