8/11/2020 - Phoenix, AZ - A familiar face to football fans, TV viewers, and NFL quarterbacks with recurring nightmares, Brian Urlacher will now suit up on the esports gridiron. Urlacher has joined the vaunted North American Collegiate League as its newest brand ambassador. A name synonymous with football excellence, Urlacher brings his glittering resume to the NACL: 2005 Defensive Player of the Year; 4 First Team All-Pro selections; 8 Pro Bowls; 2018 NFL Hall of Fame induction. It’s as yet unclear if Urlacher will don the coveted gold jacket during Madden tournaments.
“I cannot control my excitement at bringing Brian Urlacher onboard,” beams NACL President David Chen. “Brian is someone who prides himself on being his best and also surrounding himself with the best. That is part and parcel of the NACL message. That he recognized the power of the NACL’s reach, our commitment to excellence, and dedication to going about things the right way speaks volumes about him and us.”
Urlacher, the proud son of Lovington, New Mexico, has a hometown holiday named for him. But that pales to his alignment with the NACL.

After retiring from the NFL in 2012, Urlacher has kept busy with commercial and charitable endeavors--again, in lockstep with the NACL message. Expect Urlacher to co-host online and live tournaments as well as leverage his sports, entrepreneurial, and media savvy. Expect him to talk a fair bit of smack, too.
