TECNA Board Chair Message
|
One of the interesting suggestions coming out of the TECNA Summer Conference in Des Moines was the idea of holding regional meetings in the fall to discuss policy issues and generate content that could feed into, for example, the DC Fly-in, the spring CEO Retreat, and the Summer Conference. Before ramping this idea up into a regular calendar event, we thought it would make sense to organize a pilot session in one region to test the concept. So, on November 7, I look forward to joining representatives from several southeastern councils and CompTIA in Atlanta for the "test drive". Special thanks to TECNA Policy Chair and
North Carolina Technology Association (NCTech) President & CEO Brooks Raiford and Heather Maxfield, VP of Government Affairs and Statewide Activity with the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) for pulling this together.
I would also like to take this opportunity to wish all of our American colleagues a happy Thanksgiving, always a wonderful time with family and friends. And food. And football. Enjoy the holiday and if you are traveling, be safe.

Pittsburgh Tech Council Issues Statement on October 27 Tragedies
|
Dear Technology Community,
On behalf of the Pittsburgh Technology Council (PTC) and our Board of Directors, we offer our deepest condolences to the victims of the horrifying hate crime at the Tree of Life during Shabbat services on Saturday. This was an attack not just on one synagogue, but on everything we hold dear. Hatred has no place in our city or our country.
